Sour D is commonly described as a sativa-dominant hybrid strain whose origins date back as far as the 1990s. An old-school strain, the original breeder of Sour Diesel is unknown (though must of the cannabis community credits AJ-short for "A-hole Joe" - for it's creation. While the genetics are unknown, it is widely believed to descend from Chemdog 91 and Super Skunk. Theres a strong, pungent aroma with sharp citrus and gasoline-like notes with an invigorating and uplifting effect to accompany.
